Why are you able to sell european frames for so cheap?

When you go to an eyewear store, the price you pay for your frame includes the commission paid to the distributor, the sales rep and the optician. By cutting the middlemen and dealing directly with manufacturers in France, expenses are saved and we pass along the savings to you.

Will I get a case with my glasses?

Each pair of glasses purchased on MaVue comes with a stylish semi-rigid case and a useful microfiber cleaning cloth free of charge.

Which lenses do you use? What is included?

All you single vision lenses come from well known canadian suppliers. As for our progressive lenses, they are digitally surfaced for a clear and sharp vision and a smooth transition between the different zones.

All our clear lenses include both a scratch resistant and an easy-to-clean anti reflection coatings.

What is the warranty on my frame?

We offer a replacement credit if your frame has a manufacturing defect within the first 90 days following the reception of your new frame. You can real all about our warranty by clicking on this link.

I have a very strong prescription, can I still buy glasses here?

We accept all the prescription between sph +8.00 and -14.00, up to -4,00 cylinder (cyl) and a maximum addition (add) of +3,50 for progressive lenses. Make sure to chose the right lens index (thickness) to assure both a great look and reduce the weight of your glasses. Refer to our guide below for more info

I have prism on my prescription, can I still buy glasses here?

Of course. We understand that prisms can be tricky sometimes, but our qualified lab technicians have seen it all. So rest assured that you are in good hands. Simply write down your prisms and their orientation in the dialog box below your prescription, and we will take care of it. It is possible that a surcharge will apply, we will contact you if it is the case. Check our section Understanding my prescription for all the details concerning prisms.

How to choose the right size for my frame?

Your first step should be to look inside the frame you are currently wearing. It will give you an idea of the size you need. After, you can use our filters in order to quickly narrow down your search to your size (S,M,L ,XL). Keep in mind that if you are looking at a round shaped frame, you should look for one that is slightly smaller than what you are used to.

Where are your frames manufactured?

All our frames were handcrafted on the hillside of the Jura region in south-eastern France. No trip to China for our frames.

As for our vintage collection, the frames were handcrafted in the 80s in the best factories of northern Italy and in Japan.

How can I know which lens I should get according to my prescription?

My glasses prescription has changed, what should I order?

After your eye exam, you should ask your professional for your new contact lenses prescription and ask for trial lenses. On those free lenses, you will get all the info you need to order your lenses here.

Note that sometimes, your glasses prescription changes, but it is possible that your contact lens prescription won't due to the proximity to your eye. Check with your optometrist or optician for more info.

How do I know which brand of contact lenses I should get?

You should always buy the brand and type of contact lenses that have been recommended and approved by your optician/optometrist. Avoid switching between brands as not all of the are compatible and necessarily made for you.
